1 Week learn to kitesurf course – 15 hours – Price €299

Dedicated intensive learn to kite course.

Day 1
Starting with how to rig your kite, you will then be taken step by step through the built in safety features. With this mastered, you will then begin flying a traction kite, experience the power zone and how this is used to pull you through the water. As part of this process you will complete a number of exercises in kite control, building your skill and confidence levels.
The objective of day 1, is for you to rehearse safety procedures, be able to land and launch the kite safely, and move the kite though the power zone in a controlled manor.

Day 2
On the second day of your course you will enjoy your first contact with the sea, where you will be able to review your skills before moving onto:

BODY DRAG: Using the power of the kite to pull you though the water. The objective is to build your confidence in the water, whilst achieving the ability to sail upwind (upwind bodydrag), using your body as a keel.

WATER RELAUNCH: Exercises in order to ensure you are able to relaunch the kite from the wáter. Using the latest generation of Airush kites, this is easy and will give you the confidence you need in you equipment.

Depending on your capacity to learn, and the wind / water conditions, you may be ready to try your first steps to riding with the board (waterstart).

At Gisela Pulido Pro Center, you will find an international team of highly experienced instructors. They are hand picked by Gisela, 5 times World Chanpion. Add this to the fact you are in Tarifa – kitesurfing mecca – and it is impossible to see how you will not now enjoy your time with us.

Day 3
Time to put everything you have learnt to the test. Day 3 is about transmitting the power from your kite, through your legs to the board, and to begin kite surfing.
This process is called the WATER START.

Days 4 & 5
You now have 2 full sessions to master riding your board, and explore more technical aspects such as upwind riding.

After a 5day course 80-90% of clients leave the school feeling independent, and ready to buy their own equipment and continue kiting alone / with friends.
